SomDoctor case study

SomDoctor is a telehealth service for Somalia.

The idea of the app is to provide affordable healthcare for everyone.

Problem: in Somalia, healthcare level is very low, and people should wait a long time to visit a doctor.

Solution: online service where you can book a needed doctor from a smartphone for the date and time that works for you. And get a video consultation from the doctor.

Our client had a small budget to test the idea. So, we were very creative in the number of features and the tech stack. In the MVP, we offered to focus only on the most important features: users can see the list of available doctors, book an appointment for an available date and time, and join the appointment via video/phone call. Such a laser-focused approach allowed us to build a fully functional telehealth system at 1/5 of the market price. We are very proud of this project, and happy to see how people in Somalia use it every day to stay healthy.

Client's Feedback

Mohamed Hassan

CEO of SomDoctor

“molfar worked hard and gave us a fairly priced agreement between molfar.io and my company. Throughout the project they were on schedule for completing each task. After they delivered the app they stayed with me and helped with some issues that my company had deploying the app. They went above and beyond the scope of the agreed framework.

Right from the start they provided a clear business plan that made sense. I can honestly say that I’m happy with the work they did for my company. They have excellent management. Their reply to my emails were quick. They went above and beyond the scope of the agreed framework. The try their best to make the customer happy.”
