Task App case study

We designed and developed a mobile app for the design studio in the UK. The goal of the app is to provide a project management tool for the decorating studio. Employees can use this app on-site to track resources and work progress. We kept the main functionality: task management in a single tap away, so it feels literally like a to-do list. And all secondary features moved to the background. So, it's simple to use but still a powerful tool for advanced work collaborations.

This application streamlines project coordination, ensuring efficient communication and collaboration among team members. With a user-friendly interface, it simplifies task assignment, progress tracking, and deadline management. The app also features a robust file management system for secure document sharing and a messaging platform to facilitate real-time discussions. In essence, it's a comprehensive solution to enhance the overall efficiency and success of decorating studio projects.

The app is for inner studio usage, so there is no link for you to try. But we hope the screenshots give a comprehensive visualisation and feel of the app.

Client's Feedback

“The project was to deliver an initial version of an iOS mobile App. The App was intended to be rolled out to a small team of Site surveyors and Managers to help them in their day-to-day jobs. The primary focus of the App was to remove the need to fill out paper based forms when reviewing and inspecting new houses being built. The current business process was creating ~500 paper forms a week, and it was envisaged the new app could remove the vast majority of those. Molfar took a high level functional design and turned that into a detailed UX Design and Mobile App design which was approved by the client. Through a series of one-week sprints the team then iterated the development through to completion, releasing regularly via TestFlight to gather user feedback. Throughout the project Molfar regularly came forward with suggestions on how to improve the functionality and user experience, which was gratefully received by the client.

Molfar delivered ahead of schedule by a few sprints, and were able to include additional scope at times throughout the project. For this project we started with quite a detailed UX already done, and with some pretty clear views from the client on what they wanted. What was impressive about Moflar was that they still came forward regularly to challenge the orginal design and thinking with proposals for how they felt it could be done better. They brought experience and best practices to the table and offered real value above and beyond simply being a delivery partner. I would definitely work with them again.”
